  My elder leader is helpless. I have to aid him. The real help comes from neighbors, secular organizations, churches,police/ fire, National guard

  JW Marriages - Loophole in wedding vows

  not being raised as a jw, i went to many church weddings, mostly in catholic churches.

  all the times i went to jw weddings i thought it unusual that they had their own vows, much different from the wedding vows used elsewhere.

  i remembered jws mentioning "divine temination" of marriages to me and thought the vows reflected that thought.

  Not really. In my state it is the signed and witnessed license. The vows could be: "I knowthere will be problems, but I love her/him"

  I knew an elder who would not perform weddings because they " might" fail. No mention of fornication because of being denied.

  True, I still look at marriage partly as an economic deal. My wife needed things I could offer, I admired her commitment to family. We were not extravagant in youth, still not.

  Sex with a beautiful hot woman certainly helped

  I downplay events, or plain lie about them to son. He is welcome in our home, and daughters. He will never " return" because of the jerks he had to deal with. I would quit save for the impact on wife

  Regional Convention Attendance

  elder friend of mine texted me asking what my rc attendance was 2 weeks ago (family and i streamed it since wife is not well).

  he told me that his rc in the jersey city assembly hall last weekend was low.

  co told them that around 2600 were the total from 16+ congs that were assigned.

  I remember the elderly sections. Other than no stairs they were tge pits. Folding chairs set too close and usually hard.

  any opinions are just speculation, but my guess, being morbid, is that there was not a hull breach and implosion (although that would have been the most merciful fate for them), but instead the amateur level of building this thing meant that it lost power and communication and got itself tangled in the titanic's wreckage or is sitting on the actual seabed with no way to release ballast to resurface.

  terrifying.

  I used to enjoy holding ladders for skirt wearing sisters. Also the glass or open stair railings at assemblies. Sunlight back light is good too

  There has been buzz lately about the "condemnation " work. You don't suppose they would be foolish enough to actually try it? A nail in the coffin if they tried. I'm part of the Kevin class.
